Chapter 13: Happy Two Months!

Happy 2 months to our little peanut! It has been a busy last few weeks! Everything went well with the hernia repair. Alexander continues to increase his feeds now taking 70-75 ml every 2-3hr. And even more exciting for Erica is he started nursing! He's starting to get more hair and is getting bigger every day. He actually fits into his preemie clothes and may soon outgrow some of them. We don't go back to the pediatrician until next week, but a few weeks ago he was already 6lb so hopefully he is 7lb now! We go back to the cardiologist next month. Thankfully there isn't really too much else to update.

We were able to celebrate this past weekend at the CHOP Fetal and Diagnostic Center 21st Annual Reunion. There were a lot of fun activities and food for all to enjoy! We all had a great time. Enjoy all of the pictures.

Chapter 12: Back to CHOP

We hope everyone had a very nice Mother's Day. We had a relaxing day at home. Erica was able to spend time with all of her boys.

Alex likes to keep things exciting around here as we head back to CHOP tomorrow for another surgery. We discovered an inguinal hernia last week so he is going to have that repaired. It's a very simple procedure but because he was premature he has to stay one night to be observed. We are hoping it will be a quick visit and we will be back home so Mommy can continue to enjoy her leave with Alex.

On a more exciting note, Alex is taking all of his feeds by mouth and we were able to get rid of the NG tube today. He now weighs 5lbs 6.5oz!!! Enjoy the pictures.

Love,
Bobby, Erica, Ben and Alex

Chapter 11: Happy One Month!

Happy 1 Month to our Little Peanut! We can't believe we have been home for 18 days already! Time is flying by. We have all been slowly trying to adjust to life at home with a newborn and a toddler. Bobby is back to work and Ben is back at daycare, so it's just Mommy and Alex at home during the week. Mommy is enjoying all of the snuggles. We have had a few doctors visits since coming home. Alex is slowly gaining weight and eating more and more every day. The cardiologist was happy with everything and we don't have to see him for 2-3 months! We will follow with the pediatrician and nutritionist closely to monitor his weight. Bobby and Erica's families were able to visit last weekend and spend time with Ben and Alex. Enjoy all of the pictures!
